If you added HDMI cabling to an office, would it be configured like network cabling?

Network cabling would have a network drop where you connect your PC to and I'm wondering if the HDMI configuration would have the same design. Would the HDMI drop look like the network drop where you'd use a smaller cable to bridge the connection between your PC and the HDMI drop.
