In India, Engineers' Day is celebrated on 15 September every year. The day is the birthday of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya, an eminent Indian engineer (from College Of Engg., Pune(COEP)) and statesman born in Muddenahalli-Kanivenarayanapura in present day Karnataka.
