A Tamil Nadu Government Press release says that the Commission constituted for removing the pay anomalies has submitted its report to the Government. The commission was set up to remove the anomalies in the pay packet announced for the Government servants, teachers and pensioners of Government of Tamil Nadu. Mr. Rajiv Ranjan who headed the commission has submitted his report to Government on 24.04.2010.The Chief Minister Mr. M. Karunanidhi has announced today that the Government is accepting the recommendations of the Committee and respective Government orders will be released by the Department very soon.
By introduction of revision of pay arrears, the Government may incur an expenditure of 223 Crores per annum.
